    Red fruits contain a large amount of polyphenols, especially anthocyanins which act as antioxidants. The effect of solvent and ratio solvent/material or temperature on the yield of extracted ... antioxidants from grape marc and elder berries was investigated. The influence of acidic value of extraction solvent by decreasing pH to approx. 2.0 with two different acids on the extraction yield as well as on contents of total polyphenols, proanthocyandins and total anthocyanins in obtained extracts were examined additionally. For comparison, the extractions of various plant materials using supercritical carbon dioxide and different high-pressure equipment were performed. The aim of supercritical fluid extraction was to investigate whether the efficiency of phenoloic components isolation could be improved by single step SFE with co-solvent (ethanol/water mixture) or by two-step extraction, first with SFE using pure CO2 followed by conventional extraction with ethanol/water mixture. The content of individual phenol component is extract was determined spectrophotometrically.
