Posebnosti pri odvzemu in prenosu kužnin za dokaz klamidij, rikecij in erlihij

Microorganisms of the genera Chlamydia, Rickettsia and Ehrlichia are prokaryotes that differ from most other bacteria in their size, their unusual cell wall structure, and their obligate ...intracellular parasitism. Due to the an unusual developmental cycle of chlamydiae and obligate intracellular multipliticity of rickettsiae and ehrlichiae in selected target cells or tissues certain microbiological procedures are required. In present article authors describes specialities in collection and transport of specimens for microbiological examination of chlamydiae, rickettaiue and ehrlichiae and citeappropriate methods that should be used for confirmation of the infection caused by these bacteria.
