In this paper we consider the development of an intelligent control system with integrated robot vision to enable the solving of complex assembly and quality control tasks with high accuracy and ...speed. The application of machinevision is a multilayer problem which demands a great amount of expert knowledge, experiences and innovations. The developed algorithm, presented in the paper is used for the diameter and the roundness measurement of welded rings. Three different quality range systems are presented and discussed at the end of the paper.
