A vector approach to the computation of a load distribution in a large slewing bearing

The usual approach to the computation of load distribution in a large slewing bearing is to derive static equilibrium equations which depend on the geometry of the bearing and external loads. These ...are rather complex algebraicequations, which have to be solved numerically. A vector approach to the computation of the load distribution is proposed in this paper. This approach seems to be somewhat easier and more flexible in terms of extending the computational model.
