The influence of structure of lignocellulosic fibres on enzymatic grafting of functional phenolics [Elektronski vir]

In this study, the efficiency of laccase-induced grafting of two phenolic compounds, guaiacolsulfonic acid (GSA) and 2,6-dimethoxyphenol (DMP), on jute and sisal fibres containing different amounts ...and types of lignin were studiedusing ATR-FTIR and colour determination. The results indicate that enzymatic grafting depends on the combination of phenolic molecule grafted and lignino-based fibres used. In the case of DMP an increased anti-flammable effect was observed.
