    Design and simulation of virtual textile fabrics and garments involves a combination of a large range of techniques, such as mechanical simulation, collision detection, and user interface techniques. ... Development of physically based systems for simulating the dynamic behaviour of textile fabrics is very important for textile industries, as well as for future-oriented internet based garment marketing and selling. This contribution deals with the dynamic behaviour of textile fabrics and is focused above all on the collision detection integrated into the developed model. Verlet integration proved to be very useful for simulating dynamic behaviour of textile fabrics. In order to investigate the potential of this method, we planned and executed a set of experiments; one of these, simulation of curtain strips made of a woven fabric, which can be stated as a complex textile object, is presented within this contribution.
