    Zver, Milan
In the first half of the XX. century, during the struggle of secular ideologies and of search for a universal concept of politics, on European soil, a lively debate evolved on democracy, in which ... Slovenes took an active part. Among the most interesting ones was the debate within the Austrian Democracy, which marked the Slovene debate on democracy mightly. The central representatives of the Austrian social-democratic thought, who formed the so-called Austro-Marxist school, were Karl Renner, Otto Bauer and Max Adler. Their drafts of democracy echoed outside the social-democratic movement, primarily in the Central-European cultural-political environment.
