  • How new study content is carried out in gymnasium

    In the first part of the article, the focus is given on new study content treatment and to the importance of choosing study methods to carry out a lesson. In the second part of the article, the ... research is presented which wascarried out in Slovenia in January 2006. With the empirical research we gained an insight into how a lesson is carried out in gymnasium. The answer tothe basic question of how study content in gymnasium is carried out, and to what extend pupils are included in it is stimulating since we can see from theresults that teachers, in average, estimate individual lesson characteristics as regular or always present. But, as soon as we compared pupils' estimation (only Slovenian language and Maths) we noticed that teachers' goals are either not met by students needs or students do not noticethem. The required results thus raise many questions like did teachers provide socially desirable answers or are pupils really that strict in the judgment of gymnasium teachers?
