Measurements of atmospheric constituents and their relation to the ozone formation in Slovenia : a contribution to the EUROTRAC subproject TOR

Measurements of the Slovenian TOR-contribution were performed at the Krvavec site (46°17'52" N, 14°32'18" E) at an elevation of 1720 m a.s.l. The annual mean ozone concentration for 1992 was 44.3 ...ppb. Two ozone concentration maxima were observed, the spring maximum in May and the second, broad summer maximum appeared during the second half of July and in August. The highest one hour mean ozone value reached 91 ppb. The Krvavec site is the most of the time suitable for the determination of the background air pollution, however, there are weather situations, mostly during the summer months, when the influence of the local air pollution of Ljubljana city area as well as long-range transport of ozone from Central and south-western Europe has already been observed.
