Correlation of ozone between TOR stations, Krvavec and Puntijarka : a contribution to subproject TOR

The two TOR stations Krvavec (46.30 °N, 14.54 °E) and Puntijarka (45.91 °N, 15.97 °E) represent similar sites being situated on mountains at altitudes of 1720 m and 980 m respectively. The stations ...are relatively close to urban centres: Krvavec lies 25 km to the north of Ljubljana and Puntijarka 10 km north of Zagreb. The horizontal distance between the sites is about 120 km. Ozone has been monitored at Krvavec since 1991 and at Puntijarka since 1989. The main aim of the present investigations was to analyse the data collected during the period 1991-1994 in detail in order to find out whether there is any correlation between the ozone values at the two stations and to see whether any events, shifted appropriately in time, could be identified and attributed to the same air mass.
