Development and transparency of public administration as a factor of economic development

An efficient and well organised public sector is in the interest of economy. Modernisation of public administration and enlargement of its effectiveness isa continuing process which demands increased ...accountabilty and transparency of its operation. The developments of a modern public administration must include citizens as partners, who co-design its operations. As an example, themeans of informing citizens is shown by the system of budgetary indicators of Slovenian municipalities. The system of indicators guarantees public finance transparency and control, as well as a more rational means of use of funds.
