  • Collaborative governance and sustainable development [Elektronski vir] : evidence from bibliometric analysis
    Umek, Lan, 1981- ...
Collaborative governance is a form of governance that involves multiple actors from different sectors, such as government, business, civil society, and academia, in the co-creation of rules and ... policies to achieve common goals. Collaborative governance is especially relevant for the Sustainable development goals, which are a set of global goals that aim to address the economic, social, and environmental challenges of the 21st century. Accordingly, the paper aims to offer a comprehensive and in-depth bibliometric examination of research trends on collaborative governance within the context of sustainable development. The bibliometric analysis is based on the Scopus database that contains 1212 documents on public sector reforms and sustainable development published between 1998 and 2023, whereby several established and innovative bibliometric approaches are applied, and several Python libraries are utilised. The results show the increasing interest and pivotal role of collaborative governance in steering sustainable development. The findings of the paper may benefit not only the scientific community in detecting research gaps but also evidence-based policymaking in identifying appropriate policy solutions to facilitate sustainable development within collaborative governance in the future.
