  • Assembly data integration into the factory information system

    The paper presents the conceptual development of the assembly database module as a part of an integrated database for the factory information system. The development of the module is a part of a long ... term project on the integration of computer aided technologies as a fundamental information backbone of a CIM system. The kernel is an integrated data and knowledge base named LAKOS-DKBASE that integrates different partial data base modules of several commercial CA systems and particularly developed modules, and thus forming an integrated data and processing environment. In this paper a generalised functional model of the assembly and its elaborated database module are discussed in more detail. The integration of the assembly module into the LAKOS-DKBASE is achieved through the outlined relations.
