The first part deals with the requirements and the defiencies of the present approach ineducation and training in manufacturing. In the second part, the project approach is discussed in order to ...accomplish the objectives:to triggeroriginal, creative thinking in search for innovative solutions related to processes, machinery integrated systems and management, to obtain the ability to see the manufacturing as a whole;to work in a team;to apply advanced analytical and CA-methods in design, planning, fabricating, quality control, etc.;to implement the concurrent engineering and to honor the time.
