Relationships between daily milk yield (DMY) and fat (FC), protein (PC), lactose contents (LC) were studied on 1805 goats of Alpine and Saanen breed. During the period 1991-1996, 24097 records were ...obtained from 57 herds in Slovenia. Over the observation period, once a month, evening and morning milk was measured and samples were taken for chemical analyses. Relations were evaluated by linear, polynomial and hyperbolic function. In these years, milk yield and FC were improved, while PC and LC showed fluctuations. The average milk yield per test day was 1974 g. The average contents were 3.35%, 2.85% and 4.38% for FC, PC, and LC, respectively. The highest association between DMY and milk contnets were illustrated by the hyperbolic function. Regression of LC on DMY did not differ significantly from zero.
