  • Numerical analysis of nonsteady convective diffusion problem with chain chemical reactions by BEM

    The boundary element method is presented for a non-steady convective diffusion problem with chain chemical reactions. It is very important to analyse the chemical reaction system in convective ... diffusion problems, e.g. the combustion process. The main purpose of this work is to develop and compare the different integral formulations, based on the existing fundamental solutions. A few integral equations are formed for the chain chemical reaction system using a different approach of the reaction rate formation. The boundary element solution is stable for both large Peclet number and large reaction rate constant.
