New software package EKOTRA for evaluation of transmission pricing

This paper presents a computer programme package for the evaluation of transit costs in interconnected electric systems. The programe package EKOTRA uses three different methods and enables the ...evaluation of transit costs considering cost of operation, maintenance and investements of the existing transmission network. The programme package is fully supported with a graphic interface. A comparision of differences between the three methods (postal stamp and two variants of MWkm methods) are commented on two hypothetical examples of transits within the UCPTE interconnection (Austria-Netherlands 100 MW and Slovenia-Swizerland 600 MW)>
