The new species is related to Trechisibus (Trechisibiodes) variicornis Putz., 1870. As this species was described on two female specimens, a comparison is carried out for the external morphology ...only. The male of Trechisibus (Trechisibiodes) cyclopterus Putz., 1870, is described for the first time. Until now only the female (holotype) of this species was known. On the basis of morphological characters T. (T.) cyclopterus is confirmed to be a valid species.
