  • Polymers as reagents and catalysts. 35, The role of polymer backbone structure in the reactivity of bromine complexes
    Zupan, Marko, 1947- ...
ǂThe ǂeffect of reaction conditions on the copolymerisation of styrene and aryl substituted acrylates was studied, and crosslinked copoly(styrene-p-nitrophenylacrylate) (4) was further functionalised ... with piperidine forming crosslinked resin 5. The effect of reaction conditions on transformations of chloromethylated polystyrene with 1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane giving resin 7 was studied and monofunctionalised resin was mainly obtained. Both resins bearing basic units (5,7) were further transformed with bromine to reagents 8 and 9. The effect of polymer backbone structure on the reactivity of bromine complexes was studied by the reactions of 1,1-diphenylethylene.
