The potentials of digital photogrammetry in forest management planning

Forest maps meet many requirments of the multipupose forest management planning. Besides their intensive use in typical forestry operations such as monitoring and analysing the development of forest ...stands they are also usefulin resolving various environmental issues. due to the mapping problems, the production of modern forest maps has been limited until the advent of digital photogrammetry. in this article is shown, how the Slovenian forestry has overcome the mappinig obstacles and what kind of applications, based on the digital photogrammetry, are currently employed.
