Spectrophotometric study of the association of some acid azo dyes in aqueous solutions

Aggregation of two acid dyes C.I. Acid Red 88 and C.I. Acid Orange 7 and the influence of the temperature and added simple salts on aggregation was studied. Several computational methods for ...determination of dimerization constants by spectrophotometric measurements are known. Four of them were chosen to compute the dimerization constants at 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40 and 45 °C and the thermodynamics functions of dimerization. The suitability of single method and their mutual comparability were investigated. Also the part of dye monomers in solution at different conditions was calculated.
