Environmentally friendly lubrication in sheet metal forming

In the first part of the paper present state of knowledge in the filed of lubrication in stamping is presented. Different lubricants, cleaning methods for the removal of lubricants and technologies ...enabling forming with thinner layers of oils with lower performances are presented and compared from ecological point of view. Special emphasis is given to the analysis of the consumption of lubricants and the costs of lubrication and lubricant cleaning. Later the techniques for environmentally friendly production of sheet metal parts are presented. At the end rules for industrial users based on the presented knowledge are gathered.
