Eddy current loss and hysteresis loss measurements of non-oriented electrical steel

The article shows results of measurements with an Epstein frame and calculations of eddy current loss, hysteresis loss and anomalous loss of non-oriented electrical steels. It is shown that eddy ...current loss can be very precisely separated from hysteresis and anomalous losses. It is shown by the measurements that the ratio of measured eddy current losses against calculated one is somewhat dependent from permeability. In the article standard procedure for separation of hysteresis and anomalous losses is also used. Although this did not succeed completely, it is visible that the procedure is correct.
