Compliance with decisions of the Constitutional Court of Slovenia

The article examines the legislative framework stipulating the implementation of decisions of the Constitutional Court of Slovenia. Since the Constitutional Court (primarily) deals with ...constitutional complaints on the one hand and with the normative review on the other, there are also two different spheres of players that are bound with the decisions of the Constitutional Court. These are the legislator (at national and also at local levels) and the courts. The article presents statistics in this respect (i.e. how many decisions of the Constitutional Court deal with the reviews and how they are considered), but above all, the article provides an overview of the existing reactions of the legislator and the courts to the decisions of the Constitutional Court. The article also examines the role of the regular courts in public perception since they play the role of the backbone of the legal system and therefore the effect of granted constitutional complaints.
