  • Dystopian elements in Margaret Atwood's The handmaid's tale and The heart goes last [Elektronski vir] = Distopični elementi v dveh romanih Margaret Atwood: The handmaid's tale (Deklina zgodba) in The heart goes last : diplomsko delo
    Brkić, Špela Gizela
This thesis focuses on two novels written by Margaret Atwood, The Handmaid's Tale and The Heart Goes Last, considering them in relation to one another as well as the genre of dystopian fiction. ... Placing both novels within the contexts of recent history, Atwood's views on writing dystopia and her own personal interests provides a holistic view of the issues that were the reason behind the speculation. The purpose of the thesis is to examine how two different literary worlds Atwood created coincide and to pinpoint the main themes and ideas that reoccur in both of the novels.
