A data flow model in flexible manufacturing

The paper presents the idea of combining production planning tasks with production control. Researches in this field have revealed the great unused potential of CNC control devices mounted on machine ...tools. The leading idea offuture production automation is in the combination of motion control functions and the technological database in the CNC device. Such an upgraded CNC gains some autonomy and gives many new possibilities to the operter and the production mamager.
