System specification, performance analysis and control implementation using matrix-based approach

This paper presents specification, simulation and cycle-time analysis of a flexible manufacturing system. Specification is based on a matrix model approach, which reduces modeling efforts and ...together with Petri Net next state function enables the complete dynamical description of a discrete event system. Complete dynamical description is used for simulation and cycle-time analysis of a system. From the matrix model, Petri Net - graph of the system is designed, which can be straightforward converted into SFC chart control logic. Acquired SFC code is implemented on actual machine.
