XML schema of the documents in the construction processStarc, Mojca ; Rebolj, DanijelThe current information flows during the life cycle of the construction of a building are often disturbed due to incompatibility or shortage of data, or linkage to different actors involved in all ... construction process stages. The aim of our on-going research is to determine the documents which are typical for the construction process and to define the corresponding data, responsibilities, process stages, necessary previous documents and the version of a document. For this purpose an XML Schena data model, which is described in this paper, is being developed. Tha data model includes a number of elements and attributes, declaring the characteristics and parameters of documents included in the construction process. A definition of the responsibilities of involved actors regarding the specific document describes how documents should be exchanged. As the schema is intended to be shared between the actors or to be public, the annotation elements are applied as much as possible. Furthermore, the possibility of applying the model is described through the creation of the XML document in case a document be used for payment purposes. During the definition of the data model the dilemma occured to what extent the specific data regarding each document as an element or attribute be described. It is anticipated that the current model will be further developed to take into consideraton the findings of its applications.Source: Računalstvo u graditeljstvu = Computing in engineering (Str. 339-346)Type of material - conference contributionPublish date - 2003Language - englishCOBISS.SI-ID - 8457494
