Design of the system for prediction of fabric behaviour in garment manufacturing processes

The study of fabric behaviour during its transformation from a 2D product into a 3D clothing product is presented. This transformation takes place during sewing, where the fabric is exposed to ...different mechanical loads. The behaviour of fabric has been studied as a response to mechanical loads during sewing and its correlation with the mechnaical properties of fabric. The presented system for predicting fabric behaviour during the garment manufacturing process is based on these studies. The ORANGE software tool used incorporates a lot of machine learning techniques. The prediction of fabric behaviour is obtained from the input data (parameters of mechanical properties) and input knowledge (fabric behaviour responses).
