  • Cavitation flows modelling around the kaplan runner blade profile : Elektronski vir

    The goal of this contribution is to present an analysis of cavitating flow conditions around the NACA blade profile. A physical-mathematical model in the form of Navier-Stokes equations is given, ... formulated for the physical properties of water-vapour mixture. A transport equation of water vapour, mass continuity was the basis for modelling the appearance, growth and disappearing vapour in the mixed flow. A simplified Rayleigh-Plesset equation, which considers the parameters that significantly affect the flow dynamics of flow around an isolated vapour bubble, is used. A mathematical-physical model is included in numerical code CFX 5.6. The numerical results are compared to experimental results from experimental tests in the cavitation tunnel.
