In the paper the results of a survey carried out in 73 medium and large sized Slovenian manufacturing companies are presented.The aim was to develop and validate new variables when addressing the ...dimensions of BPR. Two main contributions from this survey can be exposed. The first contribution is the development and validation of new variables, using data collected from companies that have experienced radical changes through BPR efforts. The variables belong to seven areas based on a synthesis of BPR literature. In determining the measurement properties of variables, reliability and validity were assessed, using resp. the Cronbach and Principal Components Analysis. The second and important contribution is the confirmation of the process point of view as the fundamental one for BPR success, together with top managers' identification with the process goals.
