The problems and difficulties regarding workplace design in clothing production are studied in this paper. The ergonomic method OWAS, i.e. Ovaco Working Analysis System, was introduced and combined ...with ergonomic principles. Sewing is hard and exhausting work, and there are many ways to design a more human-friendly workplace. In the first step we have to analyse the current conditions and then we can use ergonomic principles to make the workplace more human friendly. The results are ergonomic suggestions which help to design a human-friendly working place for workers in clothing production.
