A wood is most commonly handled with circular saws in order to make the cut as thin as possible, the thickness of the saw is reduced. The consequences of that are excessive lateral vibrations, which ...make the saw unstable. Usually we solve the problems of lateral vibrations and stability of the saw with a construction of the saw, less commonly are these problems solved by guiding of the saw. Guiding can be mechanic, pneumatic or electromagnetic. In the following paper the development of the laboratory electromagnetic system which controls the lateral vibrations of the saw is introduced.
