Aspects of non-uniformity in low-frequency electromagnetic field assesement

Assessment of electromagnetic fields becomes important in human exposure evaluation. Determination of low-frequency electromagnetic fields characteristics is more demanding in vicinity of electric ...power facilities. Different loads of High Voltage equipment in Power Substations and presence offerromagnetic or conductive constructions significantly affect on workers exposure assessment. In proposed assessment methods mechanism of non-uniformity is used to unify results of different electromagnetic field evaluation methods. Most of the methods are common in finding the area where highest exposure is expected. Average level of electromagnetic filed exposure can be defined by using three-level approach. Performed analyses of electromagnetic fields are showing that three-level approach can be unsuitableto use in the electric power facilities.
