Maškove uglasbitve Prešernovih poezij

Kamilo Mašek (1831-1859) set to music 16 poems by France Prešeren (1800-1849) and published his songs in the fifth and sixth manuscript of "Slovenska gerlica"" (1859) subtitled "A Wreath of Slovene ...Poems by Dr. France Prešeren. Music by Kamilo Mašek." Besides Jurij Fleišman. Mašek is the first in a long series of Slovene composers who were inspited by the Poems of Dr. France Prešeren. Three of Mašek's music arrangements are intended for male choir, while others only consrst of melody and simple piano accompaniment.
