  • On advanced modelling of sheet metal forming [Elektronski vir]
    Vrh, Marko ...
In the field of finite element computations related to sheet metal forming simulations a rapid development has been evidenced in last years. In attempts to obtain a physically objective process ... simulation response a particular emphasis has been devoted to the introduction of new constitutive models. In those models efforts have been done to consider adequately the plastic anisotropy, strain path dependent hardening, damage, path dependency of fracture and other effects, which can be observed in a formed sheet. In the present contribution we bring some further development to the field of constitutive modelling in general, with particular emphasis being put on a proper approach to simulate springback. We present first some new experimental results, which gave us a basis for a corresponding upgrading of existing constitutive models. Further, we address some issues regarding proper material characterization, and shortly review some new computational approaches for the integration of the developed constitutive equations. Experimental validation of the simulation of springback is presented at the end.
