  • Associative modeling for flexible development of robot systems in virtual spaces [Elektronski vir]
Horváth, László, robotika ; Rudas, Imre J. ; Jezernik, Karel
During the past decade, a tendency of moving industrial rabat related engineering activities into powerful computer systems was one of the significant changes in the leading industries. Engineers ... place product and rabat system information in models and understand information placed by other engineers in same and similar modeIs. A serious problem of change management bas arisen in the model based engineering. Tracking of high number of changes in associative product models bas not be en solved. Single change may initiate several branches of change chains across associative modeled objects. Conventional dialogues in CAD/CAM systems are not capable of tracking these chains. The authors proposed an extension to current model structure descriptions and modeling procedures as a contribution to solution for problem of tracking. Fortunately, industrial modeling systems have functionality to accommodate application developments. This paper out1ines the problem of management of product changes and discusses some related researches. Following this, the proposed modeling is introduced as interrelated description of human intents, product behaviors, and modeled object relationships. Next, a new model unit called as integrated model objectand deve1oped for the purpose of enhanced change management is explained by activities, content, and integration related issues. Finally, two essential processes are detailed to assist decisions on initialized changes and for management of change chains.
