    Owing to a substantial fall of the price of electronic components, and to the additional experience and new knowledge in the development of technology following an intensive automation in aviation ... technique, process equipment, etc., also a great step forward was made in house automation. Thus, energy savings are obtained in company with the reduction of environmental polltion and improvment of comfort. The article presents the basic functions of a so-called "intelligent house system". Today's level of such systems in Europe is presented and the future development trends are shown.
