This paper describes the SpDatLabel software tool, developed at the University of Maribor. It is specialy devised for the ortographic transcription of the Slovenian SpeechDat database, recorded ...within the SpeechDat II project (LE2-4001), which was sponsored by the European Union. The tool is written in Tcl/Tk/Tix and can thus be easily ported to different platforms. It has graphical user interface consisting of a single window, which incorporates everything that is needed for the transcription procedure.
