    From January 1995 to December 1998, the surgical team at the Otorhinolaryngology and Cervicofacial Surgery Department of the Maribor General Hospital treated 39 patients with panfacial injuries. Our ... approach wasbased on two principles: immediate and definitive treatment of bone and soft tissue injuries, with simultaneous repair of the dura and adequate neurosurgical treatment as necessary. The external frame was repaired first, and only then was occlusion restored. For this reason, the end result in some cases was a compromise between aesthetics and function. The paper presents ourexperiences and treatment protocols for panfacial fractures.
