Laparoskopska kolposuspenzija = Laparoscopic colposuspensionBarbič, Matija ...Background. Classical colposuspension has been the most popular method of surgical treatment of stress urinary incontinence for years. The opinions on the efficiency of laparoscopic colposuspension ... vary, yet for its minimal invasiveness the method remains relevant. A detailed description of the technique of laparoscopic colposuspension is provided. In the first 30 patients, we encountered no operative complications. The patients were discharged on the second day after the procedure; none reported any micturition problems at the first follow-up visit. The signs of stress urinaryincontinence were found absent in 27 patients, while 3 patients, still having the sings of stress urinary incontinence at the follow-up visit, considered these symptoms less expressed. Conclusion. As the method of treatment laparoscopic colposuspension seems rather promising, a prospective randomised study is required to compare its efficiency with the actually most established minimally invasive method for the treatment of urinary stress incontinence, TVT surgery.Source: Endoskopska revija : glasilo Sekcije za endoskopsko kirurgijo in Sekcije za gastroenterološko endoskopijo Slovenije = Endoscopic review : journal of Slovenian Society of Endoscopic Surgery and Society of Gastroenterologic Endoscopy. - ISSN 1318-8941 (Letn. 8, št. 20/21, sep./nov. 2003, str. 107-112)Type of material - article, component partPublish date - 2003Language - slovenianCOBISS.SI-ID - 17313241
