In this paper the conjugate fluid flow and energy transport problem (involving conduction-convection-radiation heat transfer) resulting from the Czochralski crystal growth process is analysed. The ...solidifying material is treated as a pure substance with material properties non-depending on temperature. Solution of the 3-D axisymmetrical problem is obtained interatively using a commercial CFD package Fluent, separetely for each subdomains of the considered domain, i. e. liquid and solid phases of solidified material as well as gas. Results of test case show velocity field and temperature distribution within the considered system for producing single crystals of silicon.
