Research into the characteristics of the international mobility of Serbian
citizens who found themselves abroad at the outbreak of the COVID-19
pandemic was carried out by the Institute for ...Sociological Research of the
University of Belgrade – Faculty of Philosophy. The main goal of the research
was to explore the effects of the global health crisis on the international mobility
of Serbian citizens from their own perspective. In particular, the research aimed
to contribute to a better understanding of the reasons and modes of return to
the home country, experiences and problems during obligatory self-isolation, as
well as attitudes towards national responses to the pandemic.
Najzastupljenija vina u republici Hrvatskoj su vina sorte graševine. Od ukupne proizvodnje vina udio graševine iznosi čak 40,6 %. U uvjetima vinogradarske regije Slavonija i Hrvatsko Podunavlje od ...ove se sorte proizvode svi stilovi vina, od „mladog vina“, pjenušavog, dugo maceriranog, njegovanog na talogu kvasaca u hrastovim bačvama; od svih predikata do vrhunskih arhivskih primjeraka. Uz takvu raznolikost stilova vrlo je značajno definirati svako pojedino vino i na prikladan ga način predstaviti. Kako je iz više primjera vidljivo da često nedostaje vinskog vokabulara cilj rada je prikazati trenutne deskriptore pojedinih vina graševine Slavonije i Hrvatskog Podunavlja. S mrežnih stranica proizvođača vina prikupljeni su deskriptori boje, mirisa i okusa za 58 graševina koje su trenutno na tržištu. Kod vina redovne berbe najčešći deskriptori mirisa graševine vezani su uz zelenu jabuku, jabuku, citruse, cvjetno i voćno. Okus se najčešće opisuje kao svjež, lagan, ugodnih kiselina uz često isticanje blage gorčine koja se niti jednom ne spominje kod odležanih i maceriranih. Zrelija i kompleksnija vina zbog svoje složenosti često su opisana s više različitih deskriptora, a pojedini su vezani samo uz jedno vino.
The most represented wines in the Croatia are Graševina wines. Of the total wine production, Graševina occupies 40.6 %. In the conditions of the wine-growing regions of Slavonia and Croatian Danube, all styles of wine are produced from this variety, from "young wine", sparkling, long-macerated, aged on yeast lees in oak barrels, from all predicates to top archival examples. With such a variety of styles, it is very important to define each individual wine and present it in an appropriate way. As it is evident from several examples that there is often a lack of wine vocabulary, the aim of the paper is to present the current descriptors of individual Graševina wines from Slavonia and Croatian Danube. Color, fragrance and taste descriptors for 58 Graševins currently on the market were collected from the websites of wine producers. In the case of regular harvest, the most common descriptors of the Graševina fragrance are related to green apple, apple, citrus, floral and fruity. The taste is most often described as fresh, light, with pleasant acids, with frequent emphasis on mild bitterness, which is not even mentioned in aged and macerated wines. Due to their complexity, more mature and complex wines are often described with several different descriptors, and some are linked to only one wine.
The paper analyzes the attitudes of Serbian citizens towards the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, expressed during the period of gradual stabilization of the capitalist order. The analysis ...is based on the data collected in 2012 on a representative sample of population in Serbia, within a project of the Institute for Sociological Research of the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Philosophy. Research findings showed that, in the period of accelerated transformation of society, positive opinion about socialist Yugoslavia was very pronounced among Serbian citizens. However, there are statistically significant differences in the level of agreement with pro-Yugoslav attitudes among different social groups, as respondents’ age, social class and value orientations are identified as important factors.
This paper aims to present the advantages of a qualitative approach in migration studies. Regardless of its proven validity, the qualitative perspective is still underutilised and remains ...overshadowed by research inspired by (neo)positivist, quantitative and statistical methods in migration studies. The paper seeks to prove the hypothesis that qualitative research, and the biographical method in particular, enables research on migration in its processuality, provides insight into the interconnection between the structure and the agency in all migration phases, and shines a light on power relations that produce unequal outcomes of these movements. The significance and reach of qualitative approaches have been demonstrated through the analysis of particular methodology solutions and the findings obtained by the research on the contemporary international migration of women from Serbia in the European context. The first section of the paper is a comprehensive overview of the application of theoretical and methodological approaches in migration studies, followed by an elaborate description of individual methodological procedures as well as relevant findings of the mentioned research. The main contribution of this paper is that it shows how qualitative research enables the re-examination and deconstruction of categories within which we are used to observing migrants and which actually represent a reflection of the administrative management of international movements.
Cilj ovog rada jeste da čitaocu predstavi prednosti izučavanja migracija iz kvalitativne perspektive, koja je i pored svoje dokazane valjanosti i dalje podzastupljena i u senci istraživanja inspirisanih (neo)pozitivističkim, kvantitativnim i statističkim metodama u migracionim studijama. U radu se tvrdi da kvalitativna, a naročito biografska istraživanja, omogućavaju da se migracije istraže u svojoj procesualnosti, da se ispita odnos međusobne povezanosti strukture i agensnosti u svim migracionim fazama i da se prepoznaju odnosi moći koji utiču na nejednake ishode ovih kretanja. Važnost i dometi kvalitativnih pristupa prikazani su kroz analizu konkretnih metodoloških rešenja i nalaze dobijene u okviru istraživanja koje se bavi fenomenom savremenih međunarodnih migracija žena iz Srbije u evropskom kontekstu. U prvom delu rada dat je pregledni prikaz primene teorijskih i metodoloških pristupa u studijama o migracijama, da bi zatim detaljno bili opisani konkretni metodološki postupci i relevantni nalazi iz spomenutog istraživanja. Glavni doprinos ovog rada jeste da pokaže na koji način se pomoću kvalitativnih istraživanja preispituju i dekonstruišu kategorije u okviru kojih smo navikli da posmatramo migrante, a koje zapravo predstavljaju odraz administrativnog upravljanja međunarodnih kretanja.

Even though the migration is a very important phenomenon incontemporary society, the theoretical and methodological backgrounds usedby scholars in examining this field are still in the process of ...consolidation. Inorder to contribute to the development of migration studies in Serbia, but alsomethodological discussions in general, the purpose of this paper is to shed somelight on the biographical method that is most often defined as qualitative researchapproach and has obtained great importunacy within migration studies. The paperfirst gives an overview of the development of methodology used in the explorationof migration, after which it focuses on the characteristics of biographical method.The benefits of usage of this approach are presented on the material collected byauthor of this paper during her research with economically active female emigrantsfrom Serbia, who lived in France and Germany.
Iako migracije predstavljaju izuzetno važan fenomen u savremenom društvu, teorijska i metodološka podloga kojima se naučnici služe ispitujući ovo polje i dalje su u fazi konsolidacije. Sa ciljem da ...se doprinese razvoju migracionih studija u Srbiji, ali i metodološkim raspravama generalno, ovaj rad je posvećen biografskom metodu, koji se najčešće vezuje za kvalitativne istraživačke pristupe, a koji danas zauzima vrlo istaknuto mesto u proučavanju migracija. U radu se prvo daje pregled razvoja metodoloških postupaka koji su korišćeni u izučavanju migracija, a zatim se pažnja posvećuje karakteristikama upotrebe biografskog metoda. Prednosti korišćenja ovog metoda prikazane su na materijalu prikupljenom tokom istraživanja radno aktivnih emigrantkinja iz Srbije, koje žive u Francuskoj i Nemačkoj.
