This study explores whether certain changes in the model of the impact that learning orientation (LO) had on innovativeness and business performance in Croatian companies occurred in the period ...2016-2019. Regression and covariance analysis was used to analyse the collected data. According to the results obtained, the impact of learning orientation and its components (commitment to learning, shared vision, open-mindedness and intra-organizational knowledge sharing) on innovativeness (product innovativeness, process innovativeness and business system innovativeness) did not change statistically significantly in the period 2016-2019. The same trend was observed with respect to business performance. In this period, a statistically significant change was identified in the effect of commitment to learning and open-mindedness on product innovativeness, and in the effect of open-mindedness on business system innovativeness. Likewise, the effect of commitment to learning, open mindedness and intra-organizational knowledge sharing within the company on the qualitative effects of business performance also changed. Empirical results provide significant theoretical and managerial implications in implementing a learning orientation with the aim of increasing companies' competitiveness in the market.

To analyse data, we used regression and covariance analysis. The results reveal that the impact of entrepreneurial orientation and proactiveness on innovativeness and business performance did not show a significant statistical change between the years 2016 and 2019 in Croatian companies. However, the impact of risk-taking on innovativeness showed a statistically significant change. The change in the impact of risk-taking on business performance, and the change in the impact that autonomy had on innovativeness and business performance, could not be statistically reliably established. The results can benefit companies to better understand the entrepreneurial orientation and thus to increase the level of innovativeness in their operations. In the long run, this leads to the market competitiveness of their company. The results also contribute to the development of scientific thoughts about entrepreneurial success as the ultimate goal of entrepreneurship. Besides its contribution to the research of entrepreneurship, this article has meaningful implications for policy-makers and managers.

The results show that there is a positive relationship between innovativeness and business performance in Croatian companies. The research has practical implications for Croatian companies in the ability to increase their efficiency and innovativeness. The empirical contribution was achieved by defining the direction and impact of innovativeness on business performance. The results offer theoretical and managerial implications. In the context of this research, it is likely that innovativeness and business performance influence a company’s innovative activities, which can be positively reflected in creating and maintaining the competitive advantage on the market.

Cilj je rada utvrditi povezanost između rasta broja industrijskih robota i određenih karakteristika tržišta rada Europske unije s posebnim osvrtom na prerađivačku industriju. Rezultati statističke ...analize pokazuju kako gustoća industrijskih robota (broj industrijskih robota na 10 000 zaposlenih) u prerađivačkoj industriji utječe na tržište rada Europske unije. Korelacijskom i regresijskom analizom prikazano je da povećanjem broja industrijskih robota u prerađivačkoj industriji Europske unije došlo do povećanja udjela zaposlenih u ukupnoj populaciji Europske unije te kako je broj zaposlenih u prerađivačkoj industriji rastao tako je rastao i broj industrijskih robota. Također je prikazano da zemlje Europske unije s većom gustoćom industrijskih robota u prerađivačkoj industriji imaju i veće troškove za zaposlenike. Rezultati istraživanja potvrđuju glavnu hipotezu H0 koja ispituje postoji li statistički značajna povezanost između gustoće industrijskih robota u prerađivačkoj industriji Europske unije i udjela zaposlenih u ukupnoj populaciji Europske unije. U svim zemljama Europske unije dolazi do rasta broja industrijskih robota i robotizacije te automatizacije mnogih radnih mjesta, stoga je nužno pripremiti tržište rada na izazove koje takvi trendovi nose. Doprinos rada očituje se u prikazu utjecaja porasta broja industrijskih robota na tržište rada s posebnim osvrtom na prerađivačku industriju. Rezultati pokazuju utjecaj porasta broja industrijskih robota u prerađivačkoj industriji na udio zaposlenih u Europskoj uniji, na broj zaposlenih u prerađivačkoj industriji te prikazuju povezanost gustoće industrijskih robota i prosječnih troškova za zaposlenike.
The aim of this study is to determine the correlation between the growth in the number of industrial robots and certain characteristics of the labor market of the European union, with special reference to the manufacturing industry. The results of the statistical analysis show how the density of industrial robots (number of robots per 10,000 employees) in the manufacturing sector affects the labor market of the European Union. Correlation and regression analysis showed that the increase in the number of industrial robots in the processing sector of the European Union led to an increase in the share of employees in the total population of the European Union, and that the number of employees in the processing sector grew as did the number of industrial robots. It is also shown that European Union countries with a larger number of industrial robots in the manufacturing sector also have higher costs for employees in the same. The results of the research confirm the main hypothesis H0 which examines whether there is a statistically significant correlation between the density of industrial robots in the European Union manufacturing sector and the share of employees in the total European Union population. In all countries of the European Union, the number of industrial robots is growing, as well as the robotization and automation of many jobs, and it is necessary to prepare the labor market for the challenges posed by such trends. The contribution of the study is reflected in the overview of the impact of the increase in the number of industrial robots on the labour market with special emphasis on the processing industry. The results show the influence of the increase in the number of industrial robots in the processing industry on the share of employees in the European Union, on the number of employees in the processing industry, and show the correlation between the density of industrial robots and average costs for employees.
The purpose of this research was to establish whether there is a positive impact between entrepreneurial orientation and innovativeness, market orientation and innovativeness, and learning ...orientation and innovativeness in companies. The research also sought to define the specific elements in the orientations that impact innovativeness and business performance. The data was collected by a survey of a sample of 303 Croatian companies.The results of multiple regression showed that entrepreneurial orientation has a positive impact on innovativeness and business performance. Similarly, this research indicated that market orientation has a positive impact on innovativeness and business performance. As proposed in the hypothesis, this study found that learning orientation has a positive impact on innovativeness and business success. After the completion of this research, both practical and theoretical contribution are provided.
Svrha istraživanja bila je utvrditi postoji li pozitivan utjecaj između poduzetničke orijentacije i inovativnosti, tržišne orijentacije i inovativnosti te orijentacije na učenje i inovativnosti u tvrtkama. Istraživanjem se također nastojalo definirati specifične elemente u usmjerenjima koja utječu na inovativnost i uspješnost poslovanja. Podaci su prikupljeni istraživanjem uzorka od 303 hrvatske tvrtke. Rezultati višestruke regresije pokazali su da poduzetnička orijentacija pozitivno utječe na inovativnost i poslovne rezultate. Slično tome, ovo istraživanje pokazalo je da tržišna orijentacija pozitivno utječe na inovativnost i uspješnost poslovanja. Kao što je predloženo u hipotezi, ovo je istraživanje pokazalo da orijentacija na učenje ima pozitivan utjecaj na inovativnost i poslovni uspjeh. Nakon završetka ovog istraživanja postoji praktični i teorijski doprinos.
Many academic studies have focused on exploring various interactions between entrepreneurial orientation (EO) and firm performance, where, in general, the findings confirmed their existence to be of ...positive character. However, many authors indicated a need to further test the possibilities concerning the nonlinearity between EO and firm performance. Moreover, since many research studies on this topic have been conducted in developed countries, there is still a need for such studies in developing countries, especially in the region of southeast Europe. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to investigate the existence of nonlinearity between EO and subjective financial performance among SMEs in southeastern European countries. Data was collected from decisionmakers of the 963 SMEs operating in Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, and North Macedonia. Proposed hypotheses were tested using hierarchical linear regression analysis. Research results confirmed existence of the positive direct relationship EO has on financial performance, including the positive effects on sales growth and profit-to-sales ratio. On the other hand, results have not confirmed existence of nonlinearity effects that EO has on financial performance, sales growth, nor on the profit-to-sales ratio. In other words, the observed relationship does not exhibit inversed U-shape characteristics among southeast European SMEs.

Svrha istraživanja bila je utvrditi postoji li pozitivan odnos izmeðu poduzetničke orijentacije i inovativnosti u hrvatskim izvoznim poduzećima. Za potrebe istraživanja koristi se trostupanjski ...stratificirani slučajni uzorak, a za analizu podataka korištena je regresijska analiza. Struktura korelacije izmeðu pojedinačnih odgovora i pojedinih skupina odgovora analizirana je kanonskom analizom i klaster analizom. Podaci su prikupljeni od 303 hrvatska poduzeća pomoću upitnika sa stopom odgovora od 35,31%. Rezultati potvrðuju da postoji pozitivna povezanost izmeðu poduzetničke orijentacije i inovativnosti u hrvatskim poduzećima. U kontekstu ovog istraživanja, vjerojatno je da se poduzetnička orijentacija povezana s inovativnim aktivnostima poduzeća može pozitivno odraziti u stvaranju i održavanju dobre poslovne klime te jačanju konkurentnosti na meðunarodnom tržištu.

The purpose of this paper is to examine the relationship between innovativeness and export in Croatian companies. The study involved 303 Croatian export companies from the manufacturing industry and ...the information and communication technology sector. The survey was conducted using the survey method over the last three months of 2016. For this purpose, Spearman rank correlation, the Kruskal-Wallis ANOVA test and canonical analysis were used. The results show that there is a positive relationship between innovativeness and export in Croatian companies. The results offer theoretical and managerial implications. This research has practical implications for Croatian companies to increase their efficiency and innovativeness. Value is reflected in the relationship between innovativeness and export and there is an important research gap in the literature on international trade, entrepreneurship and management. In the context of this research, it is likely that innovativeness influences a companys export activities, which can be positively reflected in creating and maintaining their competitive advantage on the international market.
