U radu se istražuje institucionalizacija političkoga i pravnog poretka u suvremenoj demokratskoj ustavnoj državi, s obzirom na promjenjive društvene uvjete u oblicima razvoja demokracije identitetâ i ...moralnoga pluriverzuma. Osobito se analizira konstitucija suvremene demokratske ustavne države kao neutralnoga posrednika u društvenom sporu, te se s obzirom na divergentnost moralnih slika svijeta koje oblikuju suvremeno društvo, nastoje pokazati temeljna načela postmoderne strategije stabilizacije političkog poretka. Bez obzira na promjenjive društvene okolnosti, u analizi, koja se metodološki temelji na postulatima novoga institucionalizma u društvenim istraživanjima, pokazuju se neka stabilizirajuća načela koja osobito vrijede za normativni kapacitet političkoga i pravnog sustava, kao što su specifičnost zapadne pravne tradicije, ključna pozicija ljudskoga dostojanstva i oblikovanje pravnoga sustava kao političke institucije. Pri analizi se osobita pozornost posvećuje kršćanskom doprinosu razvoju i etabliranju zapadne pravne tradicije i vrijednosti ljudskog dostojanstva.
The article explores the institutionalization of the political and legal system in the contemporary democratic constitutional state, given the changing social conditions in the forms of development of identitarian democracy and moral pluriverse. The paper seeks to analyse the constitution of the modern democratic constitutional state as a neutral mediator in the social conflict, and given the divergence of the moral world-views that shape modern society, tries to show the basic principles of the postmodern strategy of stabilization of the political system. Regardless of the changing social circumstances, the analysis, which is methodologically based on the postulates of new institutionalism in social research, shows some stabilizing principles of the political and legal system, such as the specificity of the Western legal tradition, the key position of human dignity and the formation of the legal system as a political institution. Particular attention is paid to the Christian contribution to the development and establishment of the Western legal tradition and the value of human dignity.

U radu se istražuje način promjene obrednoga u okviru političkih liturgija između sekularnoga i postsekularnog doba i poretka, kao i prethodna konstitucija političke liturgije kao ...društveno-političkog fenomena. Politička liturgija se analizira na tragu istraživanja Claudea Rivièrea, te se nastoji pokazati da je suvremeni razvoj demokratske ustavne države, kao i njezina transformacija u oblik postmodernog i postsekularnog poretka uvelike obilježena prisutnošću obrednoga u politici. Pri analizi ključnih prekretnica između političkog institucionaliziranja u obliku sekularnog doba i njegova postsekularnog razvoja, rad se osobito oslanja na interpretacije Williama T. Cavanaugha, Charlesa Taylora, Jürgena Habermasa i Marcela Gaucheta. Istraživanje pokazuje da je s dubokom društvenom i političkom transformacijom demokratske ustavne države u postsekularno doba njezina obredna dimenzija izložena snažnom dezintegrativnom procesu, te je sve manje u stanju jamčiti društvenu koheziju, kakvu je još mogla imati u sekularno doba, naime u doba stvaranja moderne države kao političke forme.
The paper explores how the change of the ritual takes place within the framework of political liturgies between the secular and post-secular age and order, as well as the previous constitution of the political liturgy as a socio-political phenomenon. The political liturgy is analyzed in the wake of Claude Rivière’s research, and seeks to show that the contemporary development of the democratic constitutional state, as well as its transformation in the form of a postmodern and post-secular order, is largely marked by the presence of the ritual in politics. When analyzing key milestones between political institutionalization in the form of the secular age and its post-secular development, the paper draws particularly on interpretations by William T. Cavanaugh, Charles Taylor, Jürgen Habermas and Marcel Gauchet. The research shows that with the profound social and political transformation of the democratic constitutional state in the post-secular era, its ritual dimension is exposed to a strong disintegrative process, and is less and less able to guarantee social cohesion, which it could still have in the secular era, namely in the era of the creation of the modern state as a political form.
Rad istražuje konciznu genealogiju političke liturgije suvremene demokratske ustavne države, pokazujući kako simboličko i obredno, mitsko i hijerofanijsko obilježje predmodernih političkih formi ...perzistira u transformiranim društvenim i političkim uvjetima kao nosivi element suvremenog političkog poretka. Na tragu istraživanja političke liturgije Georgesa Balandiera, Claudea Rivièrea i Roger-Gérarda Schwartzenberga, kao i klasičnih izvora o teoriji mita i obrednoga, poput djela Mircea Eliadea i Ernsta Cassirera, rad nastoji opisati neke od ključnih formativnih elemenata političkog razvoja, naročito transpoziciju od predmodernih političkih formi prema stvaranju modernih političkih institucija, te njihova obrednog i mitskog utemeljenja. U radu se ovaj obrat i politička promjena uspoređuje s konceptom conversio morum, kao translatio religiae te se promatra njihova uporaba u novom političkom kontekstu i narativu. Argumentira se da je moderna demokratska politika snažno obilježena mitskim i obrednim, unatoč predodžbama da je uloga mitskoga i obrednoga završila ustanovljenjem poretka koji se legitimira putem racionalnog ostvarenja političkih ciljeva i koji ne traži razloge svojeg opstanka izvan političkog konteksta. Pritom se osobito vrednuje utjecaj koji je kršćanska liturgija ostvarila na formaciju političke liturgije ne samo predmodernih nego upravo i modernih političkih poredaka.
The paper explores the concise genealogy of the political liturgy of the contemporary democratic constitutional state, demonstrating how the symbolic and ritual, mythical and hierophanic feature of premodern political forms persists in transformed social and political conditions as a key element of the contemporary political order. Following the research into the political liturgy of Georges Balandier, Claude Rivière and Roger-Gérard Schwartzenberg, as well as classical sources on the theory of the myth and ritual, such as the research of Mircea Eliade and Ernst Cassirer, the paper attempts to describe some of the key formative elements of political development, especially the transposition from premodern political forms towards the creation of modern political institutions, and their ritual and mythical foundation. In the paper, this shift and political change is compared with the concept of conversio morum, as a translatio religiae, and their use in a new political context and narrative. The author argues that modern democratic politics is strongly marked by the mythical and the ritualistic, despite the notion that the role of the mythical and the ritual had ended with the establishment of a political order that is legitimized through the rational realization of political goals and which does not seek reasons for its legitimation outside the political context. In doing so, the influence exerted by the Christian liturgy on the formation of the political liturgy of both pre-modern and modern political orders is particularly valued.
Rad se bavi istraživanjem mirotvornih aspekata europske političke integracije i deficitima europskoga mirotvorstva, kao i pokušajima objašnjenja prirode europske političke integracije kakve pruža ...politička teorija. Rad se oslanja na istraživanja Johna McCormicka, Zakija Laïdija, Sabine Saurugger, Renauda Dehoussea, Hansa Vorländera, Gilberta Merlioa i drugih, a koja se bave teorijom europske integracije, mirotvornim aspektima europske integracije, prednostima i nedostacima političkog sustava Europske unije, te snagama i slabostima europske demokracije. Na temelju McCormickove analize pojedinačno se istražuju aspekti mirotvornoga kapaciteta djelovanja Europske unije, kojima se priključuje kritika specifične »normativne sile« Europske unije, kakvom je opisuje Laïdi. Rad zaključuje da u uvjetima globalnih kriza, naročito u oblicima ratnih sukoba, djelovanje Europske unije u području mirotvorstva pokazuje značajne manjkavosti, koje se temelje na unutarnjim predispozicijama ovoga specifičnog političkog sustava.
The article deals with the research of the peace-making aspects of European political integration and with the deficits of European peacemaking, as well as attempts to explain the nature of European political integration as provided by political theory. The paper relies on research presented by John McCormick, Zaki Laïdi, Sabine Saurugger, Renaud Dehousse, Hans Vorländer, Gilbert Merlio and others, dealing with the theory of European integration, the peacemaking aspects of European integration, the advantages and disadvantages of the political system of the European Union, and the strengths and weaknesses of European democracy. The aspects of the peace-making capacity of the European Union are individually researched based on McCormick’s analysis, which are joined by the criticism of the specific normative force of the European Union as described by Laïdi. The author concludes that in the conditions of global crises, especially in the forms of war conflicts, the action of the European Union in the field of peacemaking shows significant deficits, which are based on the internal predispositions of this specific political system.
U radu se analizira razvoj političke laicizacije kao jednog aspekta procesa sekularizacije shvaćene u institucionalnom formatu autonomije i distance crkvene i političke vlasti. Politička laicizacija ...analizira se s obzirom na stupnjeve njezina povijesnog razvoja: kao prvotna autoritarna i antiklerikalna laicizacija, kao drugotna laicizacija otvorenog pluralizma i kao laicizacija koja se u radu opisuje kao »fluidna« jer u velikoj mjeri odstupa od rigidnog i antiklerikalnog suprotstavljanja dominantnim Crkvama u oblicima javno-pravne institucionalizacije odvojenosti vjerskih zajednica i države te od antiklerikalnih obrazaca političkog i javnog djelovanja. S obzirom na to da se rad u velikoj mjeri oslanja na istraživanja Marcela Gaucheta, Jeana Baubérota, Micheline Millot, Martina Rohnheimera, Jeana Picqa, Neila MacCormicka, Michela Foucaulta i drugih, nastoji se istražiti koliko je promjena i transformacija uloge identitetâ pridonijela promijenjenoj ulozi političkog i javnog djelovanja opisanog kao doba prihvaćanja (priznavanja) identitetâ, a koje ima svoje reperkusije na formate političke laicizacije.
The article analyses the development of political laicization, as an aspect of the process of secularization understood in the institutional form of autonomy and distance between Church and Politics. Political laicization is analysed with regard to the stages of its historical development: as the initial authoritarian and anti-clerical laicization, as a secondary laicization of open pluralism and as a »fluid«, because it largely deviates from rigid and anticlerical opposition to dominant churches in the forms of public-legal institutionalization of separation of religious communities and the state, and from anticlerical patterns of political and public activity. The article relies heavily on the research of Marcel Gauchet, Jean Baubérot, Micheline Millot, Martin Rohnheimer, Jean Picq, Neil MacCormick, Michel Foucault and others, and it seeks to explore how much the change and transformation of the role of identities has contributed to the changed role of political and public action, described as an era of acceptance of identities, and which has its repercussions on the formats of political laicization.
U radu se istražuje europeizacija nacionalne politike u kontekstu institucionalne prilagodbe za provedbu politika Europske unije, kao posebnogadijela koncepta europeizacije u europskim studijama. ...Institucionalna prilagodba samo je jedan od aspekata tog istraživačkog koncepta, s obziromna to da jednaku vrijednost koncept europeizacije ima i za područja istraživanja transfera javnih politika, stvaranje europskoga prava, kao i za čitav niz drugih procesa adaptacije i konvergencije koji stvaraju tu distinktivnu strukturu vladavine. Rad se bavi institucionalnom prilagodbom u pogledu njezinih prednosti i rizika tijekom implementacije europskih politika, kao i provedbe mozaičnih i brojnih europskih projekata. Opisuje se na koji način institucionalna dinamika, naročito ona u kojoj su države članice dominantni akteri, ostvaruje ciljeve provedbe europskih politika te kojim se institucionalizacijama Europska unija vodila u stvaranju toga kompleksnog političkog sustava. Prije svega istražuje se institucionalna i policy prilagodba kao rezultat višestrukih kompromisa tijekom povijesno-institucionalnog razvoja, nakon čega se analiziraju političke prednosti i rizici institucionalne europeizacije.
The article explores the Europeanization of national policies in the context of institutional adjustment for the implementation of EU policies, as a distinct part of the concept of Europeanization in European studies. Institutional adjustment is merely one aspect of this research concept, considering that the concept of Europeanization holds equal value in researchareas concerning the transfer of public policies, the creation of European law, as well as a number of other processes of adaptation and convergence that form this distinctive structure of governance. The paper deals with institutional adjustment regarding its advantages and risks during the implementation of European policies, as well as the execution of diverse andnumerous European projects. It describes how institutional dynamics, particularly the ones in which member states are dominant actors, achieve theobjectives of implementing European policies, as well as the institutionaldevelopments the European Union pursued in creating this complex polit-ical system. Primarily, it investigates institutional and policy adjustments as a result of multiple compromises during historical-institutional development, followed by an analysis of the political advantages and risks ofinstitutional Europeanization.
Rad istražuje kako proces europeizacije utječe na oblikovanje kolektivnih kultura sjećanja i zaborava, te osobito pokazuje kako je institucionalizirana praksa europskih institucija u pogledu ...sjećanja na Holokaust. Metodološki, rad se usmjerava na istraživanja novoga institucionalizma te ih povezuje s nekim elementima socijalnog konstruktivizma u teoriji europske integracije. S jedne strane, kultura sjećanja i kultura zaborava opisuje se djelovanjem europeizacijskih momenata u politici ne samo Europske unije već i njezinih država članica u povijesno-institucionalnom razvoju, dok se interpretacija europskog identiteta ostavlja otvorenom i pluralnom. Istraživanje se oslanja na brojne radove iz područja konstrukcije europskog identiteta i procesa europeizacije, osobito na radove koji su značajno doprinijeli ovom području političke teorije europske integracije.
The article explores how the process of Europeanization affects the shaping of collective cultures of memory and oblivion, and shows in particular how the practice of European institutions in terms of Holocaust remembrance has been institutionalized. Methodologically article focuses on the research of the new institutionalism, and connects them with some elements of social constructivism in the theory of European integration. On the one hand, the culture of memory and the culture of oblivion is described by the action of Europeanization in the politics of the European Union, but also of its Member States in historical and institutional development, while the interpretation of European identity is left open and plural. The research relies on numerous works in the field of the construction of European identity and the process of Europeanization, especially works that have significantly contributed to this area of political theory of European integration.

Author deals with the problem of the transfer of McDonaldization theory of society within the field of religion theory. This work claims that if we accept the mcdonaldization theory of society it ...could lead us to speak about mcdonaldization of religion, or at least about some religious phenomena. As an example, the author points the processes within new religious mouvements, new trends within Catholic church after the II Vatican Council, and different churches and religious communities. As the other parts of the society under the process of the mcdonaldization, new trends of religious phenomena could be named as McReligion.
U radu je prikazano istraživanje promjene uloge vrijednosti u suvremenom političkom poretku, obilježenom procesima stvaranja novih identitetâ i pluralnoga društva, kao i procesa “izlaska iz religije” ...kako ga opisuje Marcel Gauchet. Osobit je naglasak na tom kako je politički i pravni poredak oslonjen na predpolitičke vrijednosti koje je oblikovala zapadna pravna i politička tradicija, a između kojih je ovdje analizirana osobna sloboda, ideja solidarnosti i ideja služenja javnomu dobru. Unatoč razvoju (post)sekularnoga političkoga poretka, za politički i pravni sustav ostaje odlučujuća normativna utemeljenost na navedenim vrijednostima, te je uloga kršćanstva, koje je tijekom povijesnih institucionalizacija oblikovalo preduvjete zapadnoga pravnoga i političkoga poretka, osobito relevantna.
The article explores the changing role of values in the political system, marked by processes of creating new identities and a plural society, as well as the process of “exit from religion” as described by Marcel Gauchet. In particular, it explores how the political and legal order relies on pre–political values shaped by the Western legal and political tradition. The article attempts to describe the role of personal moral autonomy, the idea of solidarity and the idea of serving the public good. Despite the development of a (post)–secular political order, the normative basis for these values remains decisive for the political system and the role of Christianity (which during various historical institutionalizations shaped the preconditions of the Western legal and political order) is particularly relevant. Although the contemporary democratic constitutional state is subject to the re–examination of fundamental values which are determined by social change (resulting from the creation of new forms of social cleavages, from a complex moral picture of the world and related affiliations) the normative foundations remain a relevant source for the establishment thereof. Although modern individualism corresponds moreso to the relocation of responsibilities that were imposed from the outside than to internal requirements, those values that were shaped by the Western order are still relevant for a democratic constitutional state, and they continue to act in such a way as to provide for its maintenance and legitimacy.
