In this paper,small diameter InP nanowires with high crystal quality were synthesized through a chemical vapor deposition method.Benefitting from the high crystallinity and large specific surface ...area of InP nanowires,the simply constructed photodetector demonstrates a high responsivity of up to 1170 A·W （-1） and an external quantum efficiency of2.8 × 10 5% with a fast rise time of 110 ms and a fall time of 130 ms,even at low bias of 0.1 V.The effect of back-gate voltage on photoresponse of the device was systematically investigated,confirming that the photocurrent dominates over thermionic and tunneling currents in the whole operation.A mechanism based on energy band theory at the junction between metal and semiconductor was proposed to explain the back-gate voltage dependent performance of the photodetectors.These convincing results indicate that fine InP nanowires will have a brilliant future in smart optoelectronics.
Quaternary phosphonium-based polyelectrolyte was synthesized from bromomethylated poly（2,6-dimethyl-1,4- phenylene oxide） （BPPO） by functionalization with tris（2,4,6-trimethoxyphenyl） phosphine ...（TTMPP）. Typically, excellent solubility of the polyelectrolyte in polar solvents, such as NMP and DMSO, allowed a solution-casting strategy for preparation of anion exchange membrane （AEM） with properly ordered hydrophilic/hydrophobic nano-scale phase separation morphology, which was visible in atomic force microscopic phase images. Accordingly, the optimized ionmeric AEM exhibited excellent hydroxide conductivity of 110 mS/cm at 70℃, but extremely re- stricted linear expansion ratio of below 7% at the same temperature. Additionally, such membrane could maintain flexibility and conductivity after an immersion treatment in 1 mol/L NaOH solution at 60 ℃ for about 100 h, im- plying its potential in alkaline fuel cells.

For a preliminary study of the role of β-catenin/Tcf signaling in squamous differentiation of airway （tracheobronchial） epithelial cells, a stable mutant of β-catenin was transfected into primarily ...cultured porcine airway epithelial cells. Western blotting revealed that exogenous protein was observed in large quantity in cytoplasm and nucleus, When co-transfected with Tcf luciferase reporter plasmids, β-catenin mutant increased the reporter＇s transcriptional activities. However, mRNA expression of a squamous differentiation marker, small proline-rich protein （SPRP）, was not elevated, as shown by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction. These findings suggest that β-catenin/Tcf signaling may not be directly involved in the squamous differentiation of porcine airway epithelial cells.
