The fabrication of active and durable catalysts derived from transition metals is highly desired for the realization of efficient water oxidation reactions. This is particularly important to address ...the slow oxygen evolution reaction (OER) kinetics and hence can contribute to the conversion and storage of sustainable energy. In this study, the deposition of crystalline flowerlike 2D nanosheets of nickel molybdate (NiMoO4) directly on nickel foam (NF) through an aerosol-assisted chemical vapor deposition process is reported. The NiMoO4 nanosheets were developed on NF by altering the deposition time for 60 and 120 min at a fixed temperature of 480 °C. The structural determination by XRD and XPS analyses revealed a highly crystalline single phase NiMoO4. The micrographs of NiMoO4 show that the surface consisted of vertically aligned 2D nanosheets assembled into flowerlike structures. The nanosheets produced after 60 min deposition time on a network of NF is found to perform better for OER as compared to the one developed for 120 min. A reference current density of 10 mA cm–2 was achieved at an overpotential (η) of 320 mV, which was better as compared to that reported for the benchmark OER catalyst in 1.0 M KOH. Moreover, a small Tafel value (75 mV dec–1) and good OER stability for >15 h were also observed.

Designing of efficient control charts for monitoring manufacturing processes and identifying assignable cause of variations is of constant interest in statistical process control. The present study ...incorporates neoteric ranked set sampling to design more efficient Shewhart, cumulative sum, and exponentially weighted moving average control charts for monitoring the mean of normal process. Using Monte Carlo simulations, the performance of the proposed charts is evaluated and compared with competing control charts on the basis of average run length and standard deviation of the run length for detection of shift of a specific magnitude. The extra quadratic loss is used to assess the overall performance of the control charts to detect shifts of various magnitudes. To further support the findings, a simulation study is carried out which revealed the supremacy of the proposed control charts over the existing charts. A real data set from a combined cycle power plant is used to demonstrate the application of the proposed control charts.

Some recent results have been found treating the famous Simpson’s rule in connection with the convexity property of functions and those called generalized convex. The purpose of this article is to ...address Newton-type integral inequalities by associating with them certain criteria of quantum calculus and the convexity of the functions of various variables. In this article, by using the concept of recently defined q1q2 -derivatives and integrals, some of Newton’s type inequalities for co-ordinated convex functions are revealed. We also employ the limits of q1,q2→1− in new results, and attain some new inequalities of Newton’s type for co-ordinated convex functions through ordinary integral. Finally, we provide a thorough application of the newly obtained key outcomes, these new consequences can be useful in the integral approximation study for symmetrical functions, or with some kind of symmetry.

The incorporation of plant residues into soil can be considered a keystone sustainability factor in improving soil structure function. However, the effects of plant residue addition on the soil ...microbial communities involved in biochemical cycles and abiotic stress phenomena are poorly understood. In this study, experiments were conducted to evaluate the role of raw garlic stalk (RGS) amendment in avoiding monoculture-related production constraints by studying the changes in soil chemical properties and microbial community structures. RGS was applied in four different doses, namely the control (RGS0), 1% (RGS1), 3% (RGS2), and 5% (RGS3) per 100 g of soil. The RGS amendment significantly increased soil electrical conductivity (EC), N, P, K, and enzyme activity. The soil pH significantly decreased with RGS application. High-throughput Illumina MiSeq sequencing revealed significant alterations in bacterial community structures in response to RGS application. Among the 23 major taxa detected, Anaerolineaceae,
, and
exhibited an increased abundance level. RGS2 increased some bacteria reported to be beneficial including
,
, and
(by 42%, 64%, and 1% respectively). Furthermore, internal transcribed spacer (ITS) fungal regions revealed significant diversity among the different treatments, with taxa such as
(56.2%),
(4.3%),
(4%),
(3.4%), Sordariomycetes (3%), and Plectosphaerellaceae (2%) showing much abundance. Interestingly,
(14%) was observed only in RGS-amended soil. RGS treatments effectively altered soil fungal community structures and reduced certain known pathogenic fungal genera, i.e.,
and
. The results of the present study suggest that RGS amendment potentially affects the microbial community structures that probably affect the physiological and morphological attributes of eggplant under a plastic greenhouse vegetable cultivation system (PGVC) in monoculture.

An essential stage in the spread of cancer is the entry of malignant cells into the bloodstream. The fundamental mechanism of cancer cell intravasation is still completely unclear, despite ...substantial advancements in observing tumor cell mobility in vivo. By creating therapeutic methods in conjunction with control engineering or by using the models for simulations and treatment process evaluation, tumor growth models have established themselves as a crucial instrument for producing an engineering backdrop for cancer therapy. Because tumor growth is a highly complex process, mathematical modeling has been essential for describing it because a carefully crafted tumor growth model constantly describes the measurements and the physiological processes of the tumors. This article discusses the exact and solitary wave behavior of a tumor cell with a three-dimensional linear-quadratic model. Exact solutions have been discussed in detail using the newly extended direct algebraic method, which presents a variety of answers to this issue based on the conditions applied. This article also illustrates its graphical behavior with surface and contour plots of several solitons.
The current study focuses on an eco-friendly and cost-effective method of
C. A. Mey. mediated green synthesis of silver nanoparticles as potential cytotoxic, antimicrobial and anti-oxidant agents.
...Plant aqueous extracts were screened for Total Phenolic (TPC), Total Flavonoid contents (TFC), Total Antioxidant Capacity (TAC) and 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) free radical scavenging potentials. Total reducing power estimated by potassium ferricyanide colorimetric assay. The biosynthesized
nanoparticles (EpNPs) were characterized by UV-spectroscopy, Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray diffraction and Scanning electron microscopy. EpNPs were evaluated for their antimicrobial, bio-compatibility and cytotoxic potentials.
Initial phytocheimcal analysis of plant aqueous extract revealed TFC of 20.7 ± 0.21 µg/mg extract and TPC of 117.01 ± 0.78 µg/mg extract. TAC, DPPH free radical scavenging and reducing power were 73.8 ± 0.32 µg/mg extract, 71.8 ± 0.73% and 105.4 ± 0.65 µg/mg extract respectively. The synthesized EpNPs were observed to possess high cytotoxicity against HepG2 cancer cell lines with IC
(61.3 µg/mL) as compared aqueous extract with IC
of (247 µg/mL). EpNPs were found to be biocompatible and have less effect on human erythrocytes. EpNPs exhibited significant antioxidant potentials and exhibited considerable activity against
and
with Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MICs) of 11.12 μg/mL and 11.33 μg/mL respectively. Fungal species
and
were found susceptible to EpNPs.
Results of the current study revealed that EpNPs exhibited considerable antibacterial, antifungal and cytotoxic potentials. Aqueous extract possesses significant anti-radical properties and thus can be useful in free radicals induced degenerative disorders.
Haemonchus contortus (H. contortus) is one of the most important parasites that cause huge economic losses to small ruminant industry worldwide. Effective prognosis and treatment depend upon the ...early diagnosis of H. contortus infection. To date, no widely-approved methods for the identification of prepatent H. contortus infection are available to identify prepatent H. contortus infection properly. The aim of this study was to evaluate the diagnostic potential of recombinant cold shock H. contortus protein (rHc-CS) during early and late infections of H. contortus in goat.
Purified rHc-CS exhibited a clear band, with a molecular weight about 38 kDa. H. contortus eggs were not detected by fecal egg count technique from feces collected at 0 to 14 days post infection (D.P.I). However, eggs were detected at 21, 28 and 35 D.P.I. Hence, results of immunoblotting assay showed specific anti rHc-CS antibody detection in all goat sera collected at early stage (14 D.P.I) and late stage (21-103 D.P.I) of H. contortus infection. Furthermore, no cross reactivity was observed against Trichinella spiralis, Fasciola hepatica and Toxoplasma gondii or uninfected goats. Among several evaluated rHc-CS indirect-ELISA format variables, favorable antigen coating concentration was found 0.28 μg/well at 37 °C 1 h and overnight at 4 °C. Moreover, optimum dilution ratio of serum and rabbit anti-goat IgG was recorded as 1:100 and 1:4000, respectively. The best blocking buffer was 5% Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA) while the best time for blocking, serum incubation and TMB reaction were recorded as 60, 120 and 10 min, respectively. The cut-off value for positive and negative interpretation was determined as 0.352 (OD
). The diagnostic specificity and sensitivity of the rHc-CS, both were recorded as 100%.
These results validated that rHc-CS is a potential immunodiagnostic antigen to detect the specific antibodies during early and late H. contortus infections in goat.

The feminist theory is a broadly employed framework for comprehending gender-based intimate partner abuse, psychological and physical health problems. This perspective helps to figure out the role of ...resilience to assist and understand this complicated relationship between intimate partner abuse and psychological issues. Apart from these hypothetical recommendations, there were limited empirical studies on this topic. The present research focuses on investigating the moderating role of resilience between physical health issues, intimate partner abuse, and psychological problems among married couples.
This study applied three scales to married couples (husbands, n = 103; wives, n = 103) sample residing in the same homes in Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
This comparative research indicated significant mean differences associated with physical health issues, intimate partner abuses, resilience, stress, and anxiety with depression symptoms. This study tested the proposed model, and findings specify that intimate partner abuse designates the link to a lower level of anxiety, and reveals a higher level of resilience in the husband.
The findings are insightful and support the broad feminist theory. The results provide useful empirical and theoretical contributions to the literature, and conclusions uncover the antecedents of psychopathology among married couples. The findings contribute to a broader discourse about the married couple's health issues.
