Uz hrvatsko-mađarsku granicu na osi Drave, u produžetku od Mure do Vojvodine, stoljećima je funkcionirala etnička kontaktna zona. Cilj je rada prikazati glavne čimbenike koji su utjecali na ...asimilaciju nakon Prvoga svjetskog rata, prikazati formiranje granice između Mađarske i Kraljevine Srba, Hrvata i Slovenaca (kasnije Kraljevina Jugoslavije). Također se prikazuje stanje „zarobljenih“ osoba hrvatske, slovenske i srpske nacionalnosti na mađarskoj strani, karakteristike njihovih društveno-ekonomskih odnosa s domovinom, političke i geografske promjene koje su utjecale na svakodnevni život i njihove posljedice. Jugoslavensko-mađarske granične odnose između dvaju svjetskih ratova obilježili su kvalitetni vanjskopolitički odnosi dviju država i okruženje koje je stvorila velika europska politika.
Ethnic contact zone has been for centuries present along the Croatian-Hungarian border on the axis of the Drava River, stretching from the Mura River to Vojvodina. The objective of the paper is to ...illustrate the main factors that influenced assimilation after the First World War, and the forming of the border between Hungary and the Kingdom of the Serbs, the Croats and the Slovenes (later the Kingdom of Yugoslavia). It further shows the status of the “imprisoned” persons of the Croatian, the Slovenian and the Serbian nationalities on the Hungarian side of the border, the characteristics of their social and economic relations with homeland, political and geographical changes that influenced their everyday life, and the consequences thereof. High-quality foreign policy between Yugoslavia and Hungary and the atmosphere created by the great European politics marked their bilateral border relations in the period between the two World Wars.
River Drava is the 3rd most important river of Hungary after Trianon and always played a significant regional role in spatial transport and agricultural economy in the Hungarian Kingdom. In the study ...I present the regulation measures following the periods concentrating on the 18th and 19th centuries. Before the 1st World War the Hungarian Kingdom was making significant efforts in order to regulate the Drava. These were serving three major aims, the first was to increase the areas that can be involved into agriculture through drainage of swamps and the watery bottomland areas. From the point of view of economy it can be considered as a success.

Whithin Priority 1 (Sustainable envirnoment and ...tourism) two subsections had been specified: Sustainable and attractive environment. Sustainable Tourism in the Mura-Drave-Danube River Area. The study aims to illustrate the effectiveness of these projects and the multiple effects on other tender topics. More pilot projects, which indirectly try to achieve sustainable rural development, were also stated during the study.

The Croatian-Hungarian relations after the millennium were set on a continuous, predictable political course. The coexistence of the two nations evolved to cooperation. Along the regular political ...consultations, the economic and social processes took a positive direction. Transport, energy, joint planning of cross-border relations meant the foundation of cooperation, not forgetting the ethno-cultural relations. The Hungarian government's commitment to cooperation is shown by the continuous support for Croatia's EU accession. The customary process of accession has not officially, but practically been completed at the time Hungary's EU Presidency and Hungary is currently in the same socio-economic territory with Croatia in the European Union.
Geopolitički značaj Mađarske nakon promjene ustrojstva u znatnoj mjeri se promjenio. Slijedom toga otvorile su se nove mogućnosti u odnosima sa susjedima, na koje utjecaj položaj nakon Trianona ...otkinutih djelova velike Ugarske i Karpata kao čimbenika koji određuju okoliš. U toj situaciji za mađarsku vanjsku politiku postoje dvije mogućnosti. Jedna: obavezno preuzimanje odgovornosti prema otkinutim djelovima velike Ugarske, a druga: ojačanje prirodnih i već povjesno potvrđenih mogućnosti za povezivanje. Ovamo pripada smjer određen Južno-Pannonskim bazenom i Alpama odnosno mogućnosti nastale zahvaljujući
priključivanju Europskoj Uniji.
After the change of empires, the Hungarian minority living around Lendava (Lendva) – as well as in the historic Zala County and in the new South Slav State – found itself in a peculiar situation. As ...part of the westernmost and most developed member state of the Former Yugoslavia, the third generation of this minority has a special national consciousness in Slovenia. The aim of our study is to present the circumstances that led to the current situation. With the help of a questionnaire survey, we offer a comprehensive picture of the situation of present-day Hungarians living in Prekmurje.
