There is a lot evidence about the importance adherence in the transplantated patients. Many theoretical models that can me used to predict adherence, the more important are: the communication model ...of compliance (Ley), the health belief model (Rosenstock, Becker), and the autoregulation model (Leventhal). The authors explore these models and sugest the one wich is more useful in transplantated patients. It is not possible to classify adherence in a monodimensional way, therefore it is useful to consider several catacteristics like timing (early, late, continuous), frequency (occasional, intermittent, persistant, complete), origin (accidental, invulnerable, decisive) and diagnostic certaincy (definite, probable, possible, unlikely). There are many ways to mesure adherence. These can be classified in direct methods (assays of drug concentrations, use of markers incorporated into pills, direct observation of pill taking) and indirect methods (patient self-reports, compliance ratings by doctors). The authors describe the various methods and suggest the ones that best suite transplantated patients. The non-adherence in transplantated patients is very common, it's medium prevalence is 25,28%, and can be influenced by many factors: demographic (age, civil state, sex, race, social/economic status), psychiatric and psychologic (depression, personality disorders, mental retardation, alcoholism, health/disease beliefs, locus control), and others (medication costs, pervious transplant).
The purpose of this article is to present a procedural content generation algorithm for tower defense games. The algorithm was developed for an isometric tower-defense game with roguelite elements. ...This algorithm can generate content that improves replayability by generating surprising new levels according to the expected gameplay in this game genre. Each time that the player starts a new game he is faced with new generated road maps, enemies, and spawn points. Finally, we made a playtest session to evaluate several aspects of the algorithm and of the game, such as the levels and enemies’ generation, gameplay, performance, and others.
Neutropenia and febrile neutropenia are common consequences of some cytotoxic chemotherapy regimens. Granulocyte colony stimulating factors are commonly used to minimize chemotherapy cytotoxic effect on the granulocytic series. The objective of this study is to assess the available evidence in what concerns the efficacy and safety of granulocyte colony stimulating factors, in several settings of their use. An extensive bibliographic review was performed, including clinical trials, observational studies, systematic reviews, and international guidelines for neutropenia prophylaxis, which aims to establish recommendations on their use, in adequacy to the National reality.
A qualidade de vida no trabalho deve compreender um conjunto de fatores tais como segurança, conforto, lazer, plano de cargos e salários, possibilidades de ascensão funcional, satisfação, além da ...garantia de desenvolvimento e capacitações pessoais e profissionais. Este artigo tem por finalidade abordar a qualidade de vida da mulher operária na interface do cotidiano doméstico e do trabalho. Trata-se de uma pesquisa de cunho etnográfico com acompanhamento de dez mulheres de uma indústria de calçados em Sobral – CE identificadas inicialmente no ambulatório de uma unidade de saúde. Os dados foram coletados por meio de observações participantes registradas em diário de campo e de um roteiro de entrevista semi-estruturada, ambas realizadas por ocasião de visitas domiciliares. Verificou-se que, mesmo submetidas a condições estafantes, privando-se de tempo para se dedicarem a si próprias e às suas famílias, essas mulheres afirmam gostar do trabalho que realizam na fábrica. Pelo trabalho elas se sentem remuneradas, valorizadas, úteis e beneficiadas, sentimentos esses que não encontram no trabalho doméstico, este tido como uma obrigação, um trabalho invisível que ninguém valoriza e que não traz recompensas. Conclui-se que estes fatores interferem na qualidade de vida dessas mulheres.
The soil study in the State of Amapá is an urgent need because it has been observed a decrease in production in that state due mainly to the rural exodus. This work was carried out with the objective ...of studying the soils of municipal districts of Amapá State, using collected samples in the period from 1993 to 2003. The principal component analysis (PCA) and the hierarchical classification allowed the grouping of the municipal districts of the state in four different groups, according to the similarity presented in the soil chemical properties. The low phosphorus availability, the high acidity, the high levels of exchangeable aluminum, the low sum of bases, and low values for bases saturation were the main restrictions found for the agricultural use of the soils. In the municipal districts of Cutias and Mazagão (group ) the soil fertility was more unfavorable, while in the municipal districts of Laranjal do Jarí, Macapá, Pedra Branca, Santana and Serra do Navio (group ) and Amapá, Ferreira Gomes, Oiapoque and Vitória do Jarí (group ) it was more favorable in relation to other groups.Estudar os solos do Estado do Amapá é uma necessidade urgente dada a redução de produção observada naquele estado devido, principalmente, ao êxodo rural. Este trabalho foi conduzido com o objetivo de agrupar os solos dos municípios do Estado do Amapá, utilizando-se resultados analíticos de amostras coletadas no período de 1993 a 2003. As análises de componentes principais e a classificação hierárquica possibilitaram o agrupamento dos municípios do estado em quatro grupos diferentes, considerando a similaridade entre as propriedades químicas do solo. A baixa disponibilidade de fósforo, acidez elevada, altos teores de alumínio trocável, baixa soma de bases e baixos valores para a saturação por bases, foram as principais restrições encontradas para o aproveitamento agrícola dos solos do Estado do Amapá. Nos municípios de Cutias e Mazagão (grupo ) a fertilidade do solo foi considerada mais desfavorável ao aproveitamento agrícola, enquanto que nos municípios de Laranjal do Jarí, Macapá, Pedra Branca, Santana e Serra do Navio (grupo ) e Amapá, Ferreira Gomes, Oiapoque e Vitória do Jarí (grupo ) a fertilidade do solo foi considerada favorável em relação aos outros grupos.
To assess the safety of the tracheal auscultation method for measuring bronchial hyperresponsiveness in healthy unsedated children aged less than 4 years and to establish a range of normal bronchial ...hyperresponsiveness values.
The study population consisted of healthy children aged between 6 months and 4 years. A methacholine bronchial provocation test was administered to unsedated children, using the tidal volume breathing technique and applying an abbreviated protocol. The test was considered positive when wheezing was heard in the trachea, arterial oxygen saturation (SaO2) fell by 5% or more, or respiratory rate increased by 50% or more.
A total of 16 children were studied. Ages ranged from 8 to 47 months, with a mean (SD) of 23.5 (12.2) months. There was no response to the methacholine in 11 children. In the other 5 children, there was a positive response at a concentration of 8 mg/mL. Response to the test was considered positive on the basis of tracheal wheezing in 3 cases, tracheal wheezing and a fall in SaO2 in 1 case, and a fall of SaO2 of 5% or more in 1 case. SaO2 never fell below 93%.
As a means for assessing bronchial hyperresponsiveness, the tracheal auscultation method is appropriate, is simple to apply, and can be safely administered to unsedated children aged less than 4 years. The lowest concentration at which a response to methacholine occurs in healthy children of this age group is 8 mg/mL.
