O objetivo deste estudo foi comparar características antropométricas, composição corporal e somatotipo de atletas profissionais de “futsal” e “futebol de campo”. Compuseram a amostra 18 atletas ...profissionais de Futebol de Campo e 14 atletas de Futsal atuantes na 2ª Divisão do Campeonato Catarinense de Futebol de Campo e na 1ª Divisão do Catarinense de Futsal no ano de 2015. Foram realizadas medidas antropométricas de massa corporal, estatura, perímetros de bíceps relaxado, bíceps contraído, cintura, quadril e panturrilha; dobras cutâneas de tríceps, subescapular, axilar média, peitoral, bíceps, crista-ilíaca, supraespinhal, abdominal coxa e panturrilha medial; diâmetros ósseos de fêmur e úmero. Após foram calculados percentual de gordura por meio da equação de Faulkner (1968) e o somatotipo pelo método de Heath-Carter (1967). Como resultados verificaram-se diferença estatística na “idade” (p=0,01), “massa corporal” (p=0,01), “estatura” (p=0,04), dobras cutâneas de “peitoral” (p=0,02) e “bíceps” (p=0,03) nos diâmetros “femural” (p=0,02) sendo que os atletas de futebol de campo apresentaram valores mais altos em relação aos de futsal. Em relação ao percentual de gordura, não foi verificado diferença significativa, sendo obtidos 11,7% para atletas de Futsal e 13,1% para os de Futebol de Campo 13,1%. Constatando-se diferença significativa na massa livre de gordura. No somatotipo, os atletas foram classificados como “endo-mesomorfo” não ocorrendo diferença significativa de biotipia corporal. Para tanto, a verificação e comparação de componentes de composição corporal entre as modalidades de futebol de campo e futsal são fundamentais para identificar diferenças e aprimorar treinamentos a fim de melhorar desempenho físico. ABSTRACT Comparison of body composition of the professional futsal and football athletes The aim of this study was to compare anthopometric characteristics, body composition and somatotype and constituitional psychology of professional athletes of “futsal” and “football”. Composed the sample 18 professional athletes of football and Futsal athletes in 14 second division of Campeonato Catarinense field and in Division 1 of the Catarinense de Futsal in the year 2015. Anthropometric measurements were performed for body mass, height, biceps, biceps relaxed perimeters contracted, waist, hip and calf; subscapular skinfold, triceps, chest, biceps, midaxilary, cockscomb, spinal, abdominal supra iliac, thigh and medial calf; bone diameters of femur and humerus. After fat percentage were calculated by means of the equation of Faulkner (1968) and somatotype and constitutional Psychology by Heath-Carter method (1967). As a result it was found significant difference in “age” (p =0.01), “body mass index” (p =0.01), “stature” (p =0.04), skinfold “breastplate” (p =0.02) and “biceps” (p =0.03) in “diameter femoral” (p =0.02) and football athletes showed higher values in relation to the futsal team. In relation to the percentage of fat, no significant difference was verified, being retrieved from 11.7% to Futsal and athletes 13.1% to 13.1%Field football. Noting significant difference in fat-free mass. The somatotype and constitutional psychology, the athletes were classified as “endo-Mesomorph” not significant difference of body biotipia. For both, the verification and comparison of components of body composition between the modalities of football and futsal are fundamental to identify differences and enhance training to improve physical performance.
O avanço de técnicas para análise de dados nao estruturados pode auxiliar a compreender melhor o posicionamento e os votos dos políticos que representam uma populaçao. O objetivo do presente artigo é ...analisar a relaçao semántica latente das temáticas presentes nos argumentos da decisao de voto dos parlamentares de diferentes partidos políticos. Para tal, foram utilizados dados de discurso de todos os deputados durante a votaçao do impeachment, ocorrida em 2015. Nesse sentido, utilizaram-se como base teórica para a realizaçao das análises a perspectiva de Weiss (1983) sobre a tomada de decisao de políticos e a teoria da dissonáncia cognitiva de Festinger (1957). Adicionalmente, a partir do uso da técnica LSA (Latent semantic analysis), técnica de mineraçao de texto baseada em decomposiçao matricial, buscou-se contribuir com as análises ao trazer resultados relacionados aos principais termos associados e uso de determinadas palavras no contexto político. Como resultados, verificou-se que, para o caso apresentado, o discurso dos deputados nao é um elemento que permite separar os diferentes grupos votantes, o que indica que, para compreender a posiçao de um político e escolher melhor seu representante, os cidadaos precisam ir além do seu discurso.
Recently, there has been a great deal of interest on the part of many executives the concept of IT governance in order to justify IT investments. However some studies have shown that companies which ...have good IT governance models generate higher returns on their IT investments than their competitors, less research can be found on how organizations are effectively implementing IT governance in day-to-day practice. Thus, we evaluated the perceived impact of different IT governance mechanisms on IT management performance. The study was done with 83 IT managers, indicating the most adopted IT governance mechanisms as well as their impact on IT management. Results indicated a great number of IT governance mechanisms correlating positively with different IT governance domains, highlighting IT Strategic Planning, IT projects Committee, CIO on board of directors, compliance practices and IT committees as the most important mechanisms, suggesting the more effective they were, the better IT management will be.
Know the past to plan the future. In this article, we seek to rescue the history of information systems area in Brazil, starting with the year 1988, when the information system area (IS) emerges for ...the first time independently in one of the main management congresses in Brazil, EnANPAD. As a final milestone, the year 2014, which represents the 20th anniversary celebration of AMCIS, which prompted a call for a look at the history of SI through the track “Celebrating the 20th Anniversary of AMCIS: Examining IS History”. In order to analyze these 27 Brazilian years concerning an international community, we chose to classify the 1,335 articles retrieved in ANPAD meetings on AMCIS tracks, bringing a longitudinal look to the period. As a result, we identified that Project Management presented the highest growth tendency. Furthermore, we present an overview of the evolution and current state of research in IS in Brazil, as well as the main authors, institutions and themes worked over time.
O potencial da Tecnologia de Informação (TI) em capacitar e sustentar estratégias e sucesso organizacional está centrado na capacidade de seus dirigentes perceberem o valor e os impactos dos ...investimentos em TI nos negócios. Neste artigo, analisam-se as percepções dos executivos de bancos brasileiros e norte-americanos quanto aos impactos da TI nas variáveis estratégicas organizacionais. O estudo revela semelhança de percepção entre executivos brasileiros e norte-americanos e também entre executivos das áreas de TI e de outras áreas. Quatro variáveis afetadas pela TI são os principais determinantes da competitividade na indústria bancária: requisitos de governos e países; clientes; estrutura de custos e capacidade; produtos e serviços.
Compreendendo que conhecer o passado é importante para planejar o futuro, neste artigo buscamos resgatar a história de sistemas de informação no Brasil, tendo como marco inicial o ano de 1988, quando ...a área de administração da informação (ADI) surge pela primeira vez de forma independente em um dos principais congressos de administração do Brasil, o EnANPAD. Como marco final, o ano de 2014, que representa a comemoração dos 20 anos da AMCIS (Americas Conference on Information System), evento que é referência na área de ADI, e que incitou um chamado para um olhar sobre a história de ADI através da área Celebrating the 20th Anniversary of AMCIS: Examining IS History. Para analisar estes 27 anos brasileiros frente à comunidade internacional, foram classificados 1.335 artigos de ADI publicados nos eventos da ANPAD nas áreas da AMCIS, trazendo um olhar longitudinal ao período. Como resultados, identificou-se que a área de Gestão de Projetos apresenta a maior tendência de crescimento. Ainda, apresenta-se um panorama de evolução e estado atual das pesquisas em SI no Brasil, bem como principais autores, instituições e temáticas trabalhadas ao longo do tempo.
Purpose
– The purpose of this paper is to discuss the structural design of customer teams (CuTes) working with external teams to implement customized information systems (IS). Design consists of ...theoretically based measures and a first set of real-world, empirical values.
Design/methodology/approach
– A search in the organizational literature suggested that the adhocracy is the preferred structure for CuTes. Adhocracy-like measures were then developed and applied to a high-performance CuTe to reveal a first benchmark for a team’s adhocratic design.
Findings
– High-performance CuTes do not necessarily implement the adhocratic principles to the highest degree.
Research limitations/implications
– It is still open whether all the structural measures described here are necessary and sufficient to describe the adhocracy-like structural design of CuTes.
Practical implications
– The CuTe is highlighted as the key incumbent of cooperation with the technology supplier and consultants in terms of project authority and responsibility. A psychometric instrument and real-world values are proposed as a reference for the structural design of high-performance CuTes.
Social implications
– The performance of IS projects is a social concern, since IS products should be aimed at serving people better both inside and outside the organization. Professionals who work in CuTes to develop better IS should receive institutional recognition and management attention.
Originality/value
– This study seems to be the first to discuss the structure of CuTes in customized IS projects from a theoretical and applied perspective.
This paper presents the application of the Analytic Hierarchic Process (AHP) technique in helping a decision-making process of a young and small sized company that developed and currently make use of ...a new mobile technology for the heat treatment of wooden packaging and pallets. The decision process comprised choosing the best combination of locations to place the company’s three operational bases. As the heat treatment service must always be provided at the customers’ premises, this decision is crucial to the company survival, as well as for its growth, as it influences a large number of important variables, such as operational costs, supply and training of skilled manpower, response time to costumer’s requests, and others. The company’s portfolio of clients is rising firmly because of the innovative technology used in the process of sterilization. It is currently formed by more than 50 customers spread within a 100,000 square miles area. For the CEO, thinking exclusively in terms of costs appeared to be insufficient. That’s why the AHP was able to provide relevant inputs in this case, by incorporating other factors beyond the purely financial view in its analysis. The factors involved, their hierarchical structure and relative weights, were generated in consensus by the company’s managers and executives’ opinion.

Flexible manufacturing systems (FMS) design is a complex problem which is concerned with the selection from a wide variety of available system configurations and control strategy alternatives in the ...light of several criteria (costs, production, flexibility etc.), many of which are difficult to quantify. Although there is a reasonable number of currently available modelling tools to be applied in FMS design, they are based on an erroneous approach, in which design is considered as a separated, local and myopic activity. Design is divided into isolated and unconnected subproblems whose individual solutions may result in a poor global solution. This paper describes a methodology of analysis and evaluation of FMS design competitive alternatives. It examines the use of an integrated, systemic, global, and user-centred approach for solving the FMS design problem.
Deep Learning has been gradually adopted as the main methodology to perform Natural Language Processing tasks on legal documents. In this work we provide a bibliometric network analysis of Deep ...Learning publications (formerly Neural Networks) applied to the analysis of legal documents. Our study includes a total sample of 138 works published between 1987 and 2020 that used DL as primary methodology. We focused on three specific objectives: identification of the journals with more publications on the subject, a co-authorship network analysis, and an examination of the most cited works. Our results show that the publications are concentrated in a small number of specialized journals on the topic, and consequently, the number of works that use DL methodologies in the legal context is smaller compared to other areas. The co-authorship network analysis reveals four broad clusters of researchers that are time-dependent concentrated into Connectionism (1), Neural Networks (1) and Deep Learning (2). Our analysis of highly cited publications delivered 10 articles with two particular authors that centralize the network. Finally, we have found that collaboration between groups of researchers from different areas is minimal, showing a window of opportunity to increase interdisciplinary research, particularly between computer and legal research groups.
